Poole High Football Academy is a football and education programme aimed at developing students in sixth form in their football, studies and on a personal level.

Now in its second year, girls and boys have the option of choosing from the whole of our wide range of subjects that Poole High currently offer, as well as being able to play football and train for at least one hour per day to help them improve in a sport that they love. Furthermore we have boys and girls teams who are entered into local and national competitions with regular fixtures throughout the season. Run by an ex-professional footballer and current semi-professional footballers, as part of belonging to the Football academy we expect you to work hard and play hard.

There is no formal assessment for the football academy, but in terms of pathways it can open up opportunities to coaching and refereeing. It also improves the chances of playing at a semi-professional level. Some of our previous football academy students have gone on to Yeovil academy and made first team appearances for the likes of Poole Town and Hamworthy United in the last 2 years.
